ANGELISH: THE LANGUAGE OF CREATION

A-B-C-D-E-F-G - - . Our ABC's. A-B is Aleph-Beth (Hebrew), or Alpha-Beta (Greek) - from which our alphabet (Allpha-Bet) is derived. Alpha or Aleph - the All-Father, Spirit; Beta or Beth, the house or body, Matter, Mother. The mating of spirit and matter.

The alphabet is a description of creation. Each word an act of creation. And each letter (let-er; that which lets, gives permission, allows) is an element of the creation.

Plato said, "God geometrizes". A radius is a line from the center of a circle or sphere to its periphery. In the Angelish language of Spirit, the inner meaning is revealed. RADIUS becomes RAY DIUS (DEUS) - Ray of Deity, or Divine Light. A Ray-Deus is a connection between the inner creative Source or Center (God, Great Spirit, Divine Mother) and each of us. From Center to surface. From Creator to creation.

We each have our own link to the Creator. This is our guardian angel. But it is also our own angle ­ for ANGELS are ANGLES ­ our own unique perspective or angle on life. Which is why an inclusive angle is called an ARC ANGLE, while a great angel is called an ARCHANGEL.

GEOMETRY is the GEO-ME-TREE ­ my place on earth, or my place in the creation. And MATHEMATICS is MA-THEMATICS ­ the Mother’s themes.

This play with the meaning of words, which my own inner GUIDANCE (GUIDE DANCE; God, U 'n' I DANCE) has taught me to call Angelish, first came to me during a series of shamanic dreams or visitations. In a nightmare I was pursued by a hunting cat. To escape, I had to name the cat. When I found the name, LYNX, I had my totem - and the LINKS to other dimensions, to the secrets of creation. Including that of words ­ spell castings.

Examples of Angelish have recently found their way into common understanding. Take the word GURU. Listen to the letters: G-U-R-U. Gee, you are you! That's what a true guru teaches us. We are ourselves, unique expressions of the Divine. But all the names of God-S reveal the same thing: we are all aspects of Deity. Have you heard the biblical expression 'eyeh asher eyeh' translated as 'I AM WHO I AM'? Then how about the Egyptian Mother Goddess ISIS - she IS who she IS . JESUS then becomes JE! he'S US!

Or ALLAH. When we are very satisfied with our life, this often comes out as the expression 'ahhh', or more excitedly, 'ah-hah!' This 'ah' of satisfaction is our divine right, which is to say, we are ALL AH! (I'm trusting that no right-wing fanatic with a penchant for issuing fatwahs of death would be reading the Aspectarian!)

Listening to ordinary language with the ear of the angels can be humorous, or biting. Had a problem in your life? Want to discuss it with a trained expert? At some point that person will take you back into the original experience that 'screwed with your mind'. When you get there, re-evoking the primal crime, your THERAPIST becomes ­ THE RAPIST.

We've all heard HISTORY broken down as HIS STORY. So what's the woman's version? How about MS.STORY. Which, when you listen to it, becomes MYSTERY'. Man is history; Woman is mystery. Listen to the language.

ALCHEMY becomes ALL KEY ME. ARCHETYPE - OUR KEY TYPE. DRUGS what De-RUGS us ­ pulls he rug out, destroys our grounding. DISEASE is DIS-EASE. The WORLD is the WHIRLED, condensed star dust, and a PLANET is a PLAN to NET chaos into order.

Or take the word IMAGE. Here we have I’M AGE, or I MAGE - I the experience of the magician - I-make-magic. The root of the larger term IMAGINATION - which, in Angelish, becomes the I-MAGI-NATION. The image on the cover of the magazine, for instance, has been combined in the angeLynx deck with the words GOLD and GOALED. Gold - money matters; goaled - values matter. Image (I Mage) and words (spell castings) interact to force us deeper into asking ourselves: does our prosperity stem from our insecurities (gold), or from our deepest values (goaled)?

The possibilities are endless. Can any word (wyrd; weird; spell-casting) be broken down in Angelish? Yes, but some require expeditions through other languages. For instance COURAGE. Here we need help from the French, The syllable 'cour' is the French 'coeur', or heart. COURAGE (COUER-RAGE) thus becomes 'the heart rages'.

None of this word-play is accidental (ACCIDENT; AX I DENT: I did it to myself). When our ALPHABET was first written down in Canaan (Palestine) a few millennia back, the name of God was El (the Biblical Elohim or El Elym). Thus the ALPHA-BET is also the EL-PHABET (EL FA-ther BET, or ‘Gamble-on-God’). And if you've always secretly believed God was an Elf, now you have ELF-ABET; Santa Clause along with his little helper elves, or angels. Of course the 'angels' or 'helpers' of the alphabet are the letters. So now we’ve solved the mystery; we know why the "the WORD WAS GOD”. And still is.

Going back to the ‘little helpers’ or ‘let-ers’, we have the ‘literal truth’ (letter-all-truth). Letters are comprised of vowels and consonants. Vowels are Vows of El - promises of God. In Angelish there are five:

• A - the creAtion, the promise of god-the-mAker of what is;
  
• AH - as in a-hah! the exhale of relief or appreciation for our being;
  
• E - dEstruction, the resonance of dissolution which allows old forms to be disposed so that new ones can be made;
  
• O - Om, the hOle or whOle - the circle of all that is;
  
• U or OO - you, coo, vous - intimacy, love, the meeting with another.

Consonants in turn are con-sonants ­ soundings with. They are patterns or forms of energy which attach to and structure the Vow ­Els, thus giving form to the spell-cast words.. Take X, which is a simple crossing, or meeting with the unknown. Want SEX? SEe X, or ‘see X’, the one who brings the mystery of meeting to your life. L is a Loop of Light ­ El, the God of Light. R is the muRmuRing RiveR of life ­ who we arrrrrre. Every letter has it’s own secret permission or code. Placed together in words and sentences, they cast the spells of our lives.

P, G, D and B, for instance, are a matched set ­ they are descriptions of vortices or spirals. Spelled with small letters - b, d, g, p - in each case a circle (a cross-section of the spiral) is attached to a stem. But the stem for b is clockwise outward (out word), up left; d - counter-clockwise outward, up right; p - clockwise inward, down left; g - counter-clockwise inward, down right. Each direction of spin has a different energetic implication. Each one is a building block of geometric structure to ‘hold value’ in our lives, to ‘slow down light’ enough to allow the material world to exist. For, as Ma-Donna might put it, ‘I am a Ma-Terial girl.’

We take our language for granted. But it is magical, powerful, elemental, and capable, if we listen carefully, of reminding us how the world was made. And how we continue to participate in that creation.

Far from the stern or tormented deities of the Old Test Meant and the New Test Meant - and how many tests are we meant to go through? - the Angel-Authors of the (eventually to be published) Angelish Dictionary have quite a twisted sense of humor. Their GENIUS (GENIE US) has brought us such linguistic gems (beginning with the A’s) as:

ABUNDANCE: A BUN DANCE. Want prosperity? Move your ass. Are you looking for the higher planes of existence? To achieve ASCENDANCE or TRANSCENDENCE, let your ASS END DANCE to end your trance.

ACADEMIA: AKA DEMIA. Not a dancer? Perhaps you prefer academia (from ‘aka’, etheric matter, and ‘demia’, world of the demons.) Many of us remember being haunted by the dream of the final exam for which we have not prepared. Such nightmares are brougt to us by AKA DEMONS. And endless cups of coffee, laded with caffeins (KA FIENDS), only made it worse.

AKASHIC: AKA CHIC. If academia was too mental (men plus ‘tal’, indo-sanskrit for ‘valley’; hence, valley of the men), we may have chosen to take the interdimensional FERRIES (FAIRIES) into more SPIRITUAL (SPEAR-IT-TO-YOU-ALL) realms Abandoning the harsh MASCULINE (MASK YOU LIE IN) Ka-Fiends of coffee for more friendly and feminist HERBAL TEAS (HER BALL TEASE), New Agers may order Past Life Akashic Records from Aka Chic Record Stores (now being converted to DVDs).

ALCOHOLIC: ALL CO-HAUL ICK. If life is bad enough, there’s always the other way to go. Back to the SPEAR-ITS of the bottom of the bottle. Some ‘all-co-haul-ick’ favorites :

• ALE - AIL.
  
• BEER - BE ‘ERe now! The poor man’s LSD.
  
• BLOODY MARY - the Mother of God may have had a Virgin Birth, but not without complications.
  
• MARTINI ­ MAR TINY; tiny mar, small blemish. Enough tiny mars (martinis) add up to a major character flaw. WHISKY - WHISK KEY; sweep your troubles away.
  
• WINE - WHINE. (But Angelish is often a two-edged sword; thus WINE can also be Y IN; seeking hidden areas of self)

But let’s end with:

ATOM - AT OM. Simplest level of being.
