31. INSECTS - bee hive IN SECTS - behave! BUSINESS - buzzy-ness; be, have yours! BUSY-NESS - buzzy nest; bee hive yours

Insects are rigid; sects are rigid. Any violation of the code of bee-haviors be! have yours! invites a stinging rebuke. Consumerism, the business or busyness of the modern world, consumes the soul and favors the sect-Aryan.

Is it an accident ax-I-dent that three of the most irate countries in the world in recent times have been consumed by sectarian strife? In Ire-aq and Ire-an, it is Sunni vs. Shiite; in Ire-land, Catholic vs. Protestant. It is the antagony ant-agony of red ant vs. black ant. CIA vs. KGB. Socialist vs. Capitalist. Muslim vs. Christian. Christian vs. Jew. Jew vs. Muslim. Muslim vs. Hindu. City vs. country. North-South. East-West. Right-Left. Race vs. race.

The sects may be religious or political. Racial - Tutsi vs. Hutu - or social. Yet, when we have won the ant hill, when the bee-hive-yours of traders in the stock exchanges behave according to the best capital-list prophet-seize, what have we won? Run faster. Consume more. More weapons. Kill more. Run faster. We have lost ourselves. And joined the Alien Nation. Now do you know why aliens in our sci-fi pictures usually look like insects?

Faeries, ghosts, goblins, spooks, succubi and incubi, gorgons and dragons; Chinese, Mexican and Arab immigrants; Martians, Grays, Sirians, Pleiadians and Klingons in their UFO’s, the Alien Nation has always come in many forms and apparitions. What binds them all together is our belief they do not belong here. Until one day we realize they are us, their face only another face of ours.

These cards ask: when did you become afraid to change? To see yourself in others? Is what is consuming you really any of your business? And: do you belong on Earth. Is this where you live, where you were born? Birth: Be Earth. Earth: Urth. URTH: U R THe one you are.

Just how do we overcome alienation? By belonging. The Angelish secret of belonging is: be longing. Let yourself yearn, and let yourself learn. Belonging is alignment a line meant. A line meant to rise up into the infinite sky, and curve, as space is curved, back into the earth again. A line meant to extend through your sole soul into the center of the earth, where you meet all others who are in their alignment. Be long. Bond sky and earth. When we belong, we all be long together.
